Dr. Agha’s research focuses on homelessness, housing stability, and community mental health. At MAP, she is working on research related to long-term housing stability in Housing First programs in Ontario, with a focus on the social and structural factors that support people in sustaining housing over time. She also contributes to the Beyond Housing study and the Ku-gaa-gii pimitizi-win COVID-19 Cohort Study.

Dr. Agha completed her PhD in Community Psychology at the University of Ottawa. Her research focuses on homelessness, housing, addictions, mental health, and community integration. Her doctoral work examined housing stability, psychological integration and social capital among people with histories of homelessness using mixed methods. More broadly, her research interests include homelessness policy, social determinants of health, program evaluation, and the use of qualitative and quantitative methods to understand housing and health outcomes. Dr. Agha is a recipient of the Canada Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA).
