Dr. Michael Sgro

Dr. Michael Sgro is a General Consultant Pediatrician with an interest in children with chronic illnesses.

He has developed a reputation both nationally and internationally as an expert in the fields of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, prenatal exposures, sepsis and hyperbilirubinemia.

Dr. Sgro’s clinical work focuses on children with physical and developmental disabilities. He acts as the medical consultant pediatrician to the Cleft Lip and Palate Program at Sick Kids Hospital

Dr. Sgro is an investigator with MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. He is also the Chief of Pediatrics at St. Michael’s Hospital, and an associate professor in the University of Toronto’s Department of Pediatrics.
