Using administrative data repositories such as ICES, the Canadian Institute for Health Information and Statistics Canada’s Research Data Centres, Lucie’s goal is to demonstrate the value of low-burden, cost-effective approaches to generating actionable research insights, while improving data quality in these sources. Her work has contributed to altered Canadian Institute for Health Information coding guidance, and informed public health policies and interventions in Ontario to protect and improve the health of people experiencing homelessness, such as early access to COVID-19 vaccination and improved winter service planning.
Lucie is an adjunct scientist with MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions at St. Michael’s Hospital working with Dr. Stephen Hwang.
