Dr. Kamran Khan

A practicing infectious-disease physician, Dr. Kamran Khan researches human migration, international travel and the impacts of globalization on newly emerging and reemerging infectious diseases.

Dr. Khan is the founder of BlueDot, a social enterprise that combines public-health and medical expertise with big data and artificial intelligence to build digital solutions that track, assess and anticipate global infectious-disease risks. BlueDot has helped governments around the world better protect their citizens and economies; hospitals protect their staff and patients; and businesses protect their employees and customers from dangerous infectious diseases.

Dr. Khan is a scientist with MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital, and a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto.
