Dr. Archna Gupta


Dr. Archna Gupta

A practicing family doctor and researcher, Dr. Archna Gupta works at the intersection of primary care and public health.

Dr. Gupta’s research looks at ways to better serve patients who face structural marginalization and how to equitably serve growing urban and rural populations with expanding health needs, both locally and globally.

Dr. Gupta is a scientist with MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital, working with MAP’s Upstream Lab. She is also a family physician and family medicine obstetrics provider at St. Michael’s Hospital, and an assistant professor in the University of Toronto’s Department of Family and Community Medicine. She received her PhD in Health Services Research at the Institute of Health, Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto, her Master’s in Public Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, and her Medical Degree from McMaster University.
