Dr. Ecker’s research interests include Housing First and other pathways into housing and community integration for people experiencing homelessness, and 2SLGBTQ+ studies.

Dr. Ecker is an adjunct scientist at MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions at St. Michael’s Hospital working with Dr. Stephen Hwang. He also acts as the Director of Research and Evaluation at the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness. He received his PhD in Community Psychology from the University of Ottawa.
